Goldenvoice has added a new festival to its roster of Indio, California experiences. On Tuesday, Power Trip was announced as the latest live music venture.
Power Trip’s experience will be rooted in hard rock and heavy metal genres.
Per Power Trip’s website, the lineup will be revealed on Thursday, March 30.
Several of the genre’s biggest stars also announced Power Trip’s arrival on social media, including AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, and TOOL. So, while we don’t know the lineup yet, some potential conclusions can be drawn from the marketing push.
If AC/DC is tapped to perform, it’ll be the band’s first performance in more than seven years, marking a significant moment for the inaugural festival.
Power Trip will be held at the Empire Polo Club, the same venue that hosts the likes of Coachella and Stagecoach, two other major music festivals orchestrated by Goldenvoice.
The debut edition of Power Trip is scheduled for the weekend of October 6-8.
