About

Founded in 2013 in the beautiful Rocky Mountain foothills in Loveland, Colorado, ARISE Music Festival provides a unique experience for its attendees. Founders Paul Bassis and Tierro Lee wanted to create a camping festival with sustainability and transformation in mind and collaborated with environmental advocates, educators, and independent filmmakers to bring ARISE Festival to life. Attendees can camp out with their friends on 360 acres at the sprawling Sunrise Ranch, home to many spiritual retreats and events throughout the year. The festival is also family-friendly, and children under 12 can attend for free. Special entertainment, campsites, and workshops are scheduled throughout the weekend for young ones and their families to enjoy. True to its commitment to sustainability, every ticket sold results in one tree planted. The festival also employs leave no trace principles, requires compostable flatware, and doesn’t sell any single-use plastics. Reusable water bottles are strongly encouraged. Up-cycled art is encouraged, and local artists are again invited to submit their work. The festival spans multiple genres, from funk to reggae to electronic. Local artists are invited alongside worldwide headliners. ARISE is “created by a community, rather than a corporation” and has minimal corporate sponsorship, and instead relies on participation from its attendees as much as the artists. With a capacity of 13,500, the community aspect makes ARISE a truly unique experience.
