LEVITATION is an artist-owned and independent venture that has grown into a “platform for music and visual art” with multiple music festival experiences in Austin and beyond.
In 2015, LEVITATION AUSTIN took the place of Austin Psych Fest (which later returned in 2023). The founders and local Austin band, The Black Angels, created this psychedelic rock festival as a way to showcase local and regional artists.
LEVITATION is one of the more unique festivals in existence, focusing on experimental and avant-garde music that pushes the boundaries of psychedelic rock and electronic genres, challenging the conventional notions of what music and music festival experiences can be.
