Since 1968 the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been a celebration of jazz music and culture. Commonly referred to as Jazz Fest, it is held over two weekends in October in Central New Orleans. Most of the lineup features local artists and musicians, but in recent years top global artists, such as Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Lizzo, Mumford & Sons, and Santana, among many others, have been booked for the event. Every corner of the festival is designed to honor and commemorate jazz music and New Orleans heritage.
