Founded in 2010 in Union Park in Chicago, North Coast Music Festival is dubbed “Summer’s Last Stand.” While its primary focus is electronic, North Coast draws an impressive and eclectic lineup that also meshes hip-hop and rock for the Labor Day weekend event.
In 2019, the festival moved from Union Park to Northerly Island, sandwiched between the city skyline and Lake Michigan. In 2021 North Coast moved again, this time to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois, approximately a 30 minute drive from the city center. With SeatGeek’s area to work with, North Coast constructed four stadium-sized stages – one of them in an air-conditioned indoor soccer dome – and a larger area for art and installations.
