While it’s one of the newer festivals on the scene, Portola Music Festival has quickly established itself as one of the country’s more unique and thoughtfully curated events. Created by Goldenvoice, the same group behind Coachella and Stagecoach, Portola is a two-day festival that focuses on genres ranging from house to nu-disco to funk. It’s held annually at Pier 80, San Francisco’s largest cargo terminal.
