UPDATE April 27, 2023
The daily lineup has been released + additional artists.
Chicago hip-hop festival Hyde Park Summer Fest revealed its lineup for its 2023 installment, scheduled for June 17 & 18 at the Midway Plaisance Park in Chicago, IL. Headling the festival will be Clipse and 2 Chainz.
The talk of the festival is the return of the hip-hop duo Clipse, comprised of Gene “No Malice” and Terrence “Pusha T” Thornton, brothers who started performing together in 1992. The fest will be a reunion for the guys from Virginia Beach. The group had broken up in 2010 and, aside from a couple of appearances in the last few years, has kept a relatively low profile.
Artists joining Clipse and 2 Chainz on the lineup are Tobe Nwigwe, Robert Glasper, Uncle Waffles, Jonathan McReynolds, and Terry Hunter.
Hyde Park Summer Fest coincides with the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, so Chicago will be celebrating with a special performance featuring Twista, Shawnna, Do Or Die, Crucial Conflict, and Vic Mensa.
