Twelve cities across the U.S. will be welcoming a new, unique live music event this summer. Bucking the trend of multi-stage, derivative experiences, Re:SET Concert Series aims to provide music fans with something different.
“Re:SET was conceived as an artist and fan-friendly alternative to the standard summer concert experience,” according to Re:SET’s website.
Each weekend throughout June, Re:SET will descend upon three cities, with the artists rotating through the cities designated for that weekend.
“Taking place over four weekends in the month of June, each weekend will see three cities in the same region hosting, with each Re:SET headliner playing each city on consecutive days.”
Each Re:SET location will have just one stage, and the experience promises complete sets from every artist. It’s meant to provide fans and artists with something different than what the world has become accustomed to with modern-day music festivals.
“The concept provides artists a respite from the cookie-cutter summer itinerary of sheds and amphitheaters, while fans get a leisurely day that features full sets from every artist, on one stage with no conflicts.”
The 12 cities and regions hosting are Atlanta, Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, San Diego, and Washington, D.C.
The lineup includes headliners boygenius, LCD Soundsystem, and Steve Lacy. Other artists featured are Bartees Strange, Clairo, Dijon, FousheĆ©, IDLES, James Blake, Jamie XX, and Toro y Moi. Big Freedia and L’Rain will also support in select cities, plus more artists to be potentially announced.
