San Francisco’s multi-genre summer music and arts festival, Outside Lands, has set official dates for 2024. The festival is scheduled for August 9-11, the second weekend of the month, and will be held again in picturesque Golden Gate Park.
Outside Lands has yet to announce the lineup or ticketing information for 2024. Presale tickets for 2023 went live in early March, and the lineup was revealed in April, so it’s likely that festivalgoers can expect a similar timeline for Outside Lands 2024.
The 2023 edition marked the 15th anniversary of the Northern California festival, which debuted in 2008 and has since grown into one of North America’s premier summer music festivals.
Outside Lands welcomed headliners Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, and ODESZA for the anniversary edition. In total, 95 artists graced the stages in 2023, which set the soundscape for the annual experience that blends music, art, and local culinary delights against the backdrop of Golden Gate Park.
Over the years, Outside Lands has evolved from a rock and indie alternative-focused festival into an experience with a broader range of genres, including hip-hop, electronic, and pop. The first-ever Outside Lands in 2008 featured headliners Jack Johnson, Radiohead, and Tom Petty, followed by Beastie Boys, Dave Matthews Band, and Pearl Jam in the festival’s second edition. But while Outside Lands has evolved its musical focus to keep pace with the ever-changing music trends, it still maintains a dose of its origination.
