Launched in 2013, Shaky Knees quickly gained popularity for its diverse lineup featuring a mix of indie, rock, and alternative music, growing into one of North America’s more popular festival brands.
Over the years, Shaky Knees has undergone significant expansion in terms of its lineup and venue.
The first edition took place at Historic Fourth Ward Park and Masquerade Music Park, showcasing headliners Band of Horses and The Lumineers. In total, 28 artists and bands played across the inaugural two days.
In 2014, for the festival’s second year, Shaky Knees moved to Atlantic Station and expanded to three days, which remains its current length.

Centennial Olympic Park hosted the festival in 2016 and 2017 before it moved back to Central Park, which remains its location today.
