The Governors Ball 2021 is back to celebrate its 10 year anniversary with a new venue, new dates, and a whole new stage setup. The festival “with a New York heart” will feature all of its four stages in the middle, for a 360-degree experience, a first for any festival. The setup is intended to stop sound bleed between stages and make it easier to move between acts. The Gov Ball team is also rolling out high-grade AstroTurf over asphalt areas for attendees’ comfort and visual appeal. The new location is easily accessed by public transit and provides an easier exit and entry for attendees in case of unfavorable weather.
The festival is usually in June, but for 2021 it will be held September 24-26. The fest will return to its original June date in 2022.
Gov Ball aims to give proper respect to the NYC food scene and has some of the best food and drink vendors of any festival around. The art is also near and dear to the heart of the festival and includes huge sculptures, towering murals, high-flying inflatables, and much more.
