UPDATE March 30, 2022

Due to the tragic and sudden passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters will no longer be headlining Boston Calling. The band has canceled all of their future appearances indefinitely.

Boston Calling has revealed its lineup for 2022. The alternative rock fest will take place May 27-29 at the Harvard Athletic Complex.

Foo Fighters, The Strokes, and Meticalla will headline with support from Rüfüs Du Sol, Run The Jewels, Weezer, Glass Animals, Haim, Avril Lavigne, Cheap Trick, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Modest Mouse, Goose, Japanese Breakfast, Ripe, Black Pumas, and many more.

2022’s lineup features the largest collection of regional talent ever assembled at Boston Calling. Among the up-and-coming local acts on the bill are Brockton rap collective Van Buren Records, Boston rapper Cam Meekins, Milford rockers Born Without Bones, and Boston musician/filmmaker/professor Cliff Notez.

Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers were originally slated to play in 2020 and have been replaced by Metallica and The Strokes. RHCP played Fenway Park on September 10, 2021, and Rage has canceled the first half of their American Tour.
