The Rock Boat is the brainchild of Gainesville, Florida, rock band Sister Hazel and Atlanta-based festival curation company Sixthman. In 2001, they partnered to create a lifetime experience for festivalgoers: an annual cruise ship rock festival on the high seas. Its current iteration is hosted on the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship and departs from the Port of Miami every January. In addition to sailing the open seas, you’ll make stops in Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, and Costa Maya, Mexico. The 5-day event has booked bands such as Tonic, Collective Soul, Pat McGee Band, Zac Brown Band, Michael Tolcher, Vertical Horizon, David Ryan Harris, Ingram Hill, Better Than Ezra, Marc Broussard, Wideawake, and, of course, Sister Hazel. Past tropical port stops have included Nassau, Jamaica, and Turks and Caicos.
