Chicago’s Chosen Few Picnic & Festival will be celebrating its 30th year of bringing house music to Jackson Park. The fest returns Sunday, July 2, 2022, and has events leading up to the event and after.
The Chosen Few Disco Corp. was founded in 1977 by Wayne Williams and a group of popular DJs from Chicago’s South Side who were a part of the first wave of DJs and producers that created the sound known as House Music. They later called themselves “Chosen Few.” Chosen Few DJs include Wayne Williams, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Alan King, Andre Hatchett, Terry Hunter, and Mike Dunn. Chosen Few Picnic is now the longest-running event dedicated to House Music and attracts 40,000+ attendees every year.
