Destination festival Closer To The Sun is ready to rock in Mexico December 8-12, 2021 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya.
Closer to the sun features the following artists and amount of times they’ll be playing: Slightly Stoopid (3 shows) Rebelution (2 shows – 1 Main Stage and 1 Acoustic), Stephen Marley (1 show), Iration (2 shows), Cypress Hill (1 show), Pepper (2 shows), Common Kings (1 show), HIRIE (1 show), The Movement (2 shows), and DENM (1 show).
Beyond music, fans will have the opportunity to participate in contests with their favorite performers. A guacamole contest, salsa making contest, beer pong, yoga, paddleboarding lessons, a scratch workshop, bingo, 3-on-3 basketball, percussion workshops, and more will be offered at the fest.
Closer To The Sun also features two theme nights: Glow-in-the-Dark, and Round the World. Attendees are encouraged to represent the country or city that they’re from.
Portions of proceeds go to Positive Legacy, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit arm of Cloud 9 Adventures, which is committed to integrating live music and service by taking actions that positively impact the communities we visit. Positive Legacy’s mission inspires music fans and artists to collectively take action and build a better world. The goal is to develop service activities that people can participate in to bring a deeper sense of purpose to their travel experiences and the music surrounding them.
Closer To The Sun is sold out, but fans can join the official waitlist HERE. Those who deposit $250 will be considered “paid priority” and have a higher chance of scoring tickets.
