Cruel World Fest 2022 Inaugural Lineup Announced

Throwback punk and pop fest, Cruel World, has revealed its 2022 lineup. Brought you by Goldenvoice, the festival premieres in Pasadena, California, May 14 & 15, 2022. It will be held at Brookside at the Rose Bowl.

Goldenvoice is the organizer behind several successful festivals such as CoachellaStagecoachSecond SkyJust Like HeavenSplash House, and many others. 

The ’80s infused single-day fest was originally scheduled to take place back in 2020 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fest was planned for one day on Saturday, May 14 but added Sunday when tickets sold out fast. Saturday and Sunday offer the same lineup and schedule, so two-day passes are not available.

Morrissey will be headlining the fest, with support from Bauhaus, Blondie, Devo, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Psychedelic Furs, Violent Femmes, The Church, English Beat, Public Imagine LTD., The Damned, Blaqk Audio, and many more.

“These iconic artists will come together over the course of one weekend which will see new music from Morrissey’s highly anticipated album Bonfire of Teenagers performed live which he’s called ‘the best album of my life,’” Goldenvoice said. “Joining him are headlining legends Bauhaus, Blondie and Devo, artists behind such hits as ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead,’ ‘Heart of Glass’ and ‘Whip It.’”

Saturday is sold out, but Sunday passes are still available for $179. Parking passes are also available for $25-75. View ticket options here.
