A new fest is set to premiere in New Orleans on May 3 & 4, 2022. Daze Between will be hosted during the ‘daze between’ the New Orleans Jazz Fest weekends at Faubourg Brewery (originally called Dixie Brewing founded in 1907), the oldest operating brewery in New Orleans.
Part of the event’s proceeds will go to the Rex Foundation, an organization funded by the Grateful Dead in 1984 that writes grants to small nonprofit organizations doing great work in the arts, science, education, environment, indigenous culture, and social justice space. Daze Between will auction off Grateful Dead-themed artwork, experiences, and memorabilia with all proceeds going to the foundation.
The String Cheese Incident will play both nights, with support each day.
Friday’s lineup is SCI, Snarky Puppy, Eric Krasno & Friends, Nicholas Payton, Erica Falls, and Benny & The Late Bloomers.
Saturday’s lineup is SCI, Lettuce, Rebirth Brass Band, The Iceman Special, Honey Island Swamp Band, and The Rumble feat. Chief Joseph Bourdreaux Jr.
