Multi-venue fest Hamtramck Music Fest returns for another summer session August 12-14 in Hamtramck, MI. The fest showcases local talent from the areas of Detroit and Windsor.
This will be Hamtramck’s second year with the August dates after 2021 proved to be widely successful. The original dates were in March, but the pandemic forced organizers to push the dates to August. Proceeds from the event go towards Hamtramck Public School District.
Some of the local acts featured include Tart, Sudden Death Syndrome, Hand Grenades, The Pink 50’s, Duk Butter, Switchblade Vengance, Memphis Hawk, Dominant Hand, Devin Jetski, Enthusiast, EnD, Piffle, witchpucker, Ke Thu, Bitchcraft, Jackamo, Macho, Angel of Mars, Confidence, Three Spoke Wheel, Nick Juno, Vulgars, Covier, and more.
“The sheer variety of these venues is one of the hallmarks of the Fest. With cozy basement shows at Polish Village Café, the inviting outdoor pavilions at Trixie’s, and the classic dancehall upstairs at POST 10, along with up to 20 other venues, the HMF occupies all types of venues. To accompany the variety of the venues, this fest has an amazing variety of different styles of music to offer,” organizers said in a statement.
Wristbands can be purchased at Found Sound, Village Vinyl, UHF, Flipside Records, Dearborn Music, and Solo Records, or they can be purchased online for $20 at the Hamtramck website here.
