Brand-new fest LETSGETFR.EE is set to premiere August 20-21, 2022 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY.
The fest will be the world’s largest purpose-driven festival and is inspired by Brazilian carnival, Caribbean sound system culture, and the idea that differences should be celebrated. It will feature culinary-inspired treats from Asia, Africa, Latin America, The American South, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean.
The festival will also feature three moving stages inspired by Brazilian floats and equipped with sound systems and over-the-top production.
LETSGETFR.EE was founded to elevate equity for underrepresented people in the entertainment industry on and off stage. These groups include Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, Gender Nonconforming Individuals, Persons with Disabilities, and Women.
Saturday’s headliners are Missy Elliot and Wizkid. Also featured are Jhené Aiko, Lous and the Yakuza, Lido Pimienta, Raveena, Jorja Smith, El Alfa, Tiwa Savage, Umi, ilham, Mr. Eazi, YEИDRY, Anik Khan, and more.
Sunday’s headliners are Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals and Ozuna. Support includes Kali Uchis, Flatbush Zombies, Bomba Estereo, Jai Wolf, and more.
