Silver Room Sound System Block Party returns this year after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. The fest will have a new location and now requires tickets for entry, but hopes to maintain the same community and vibe it has manifested since 2002.
The 2022 event will take place July 16 and 17 at the Chicago lakefront at Oakwood Beach on 39th Street.
Saturday’s music lineup features Ron Trent, Eshu Tune (Hannibal Buress), Global Currency, Sabine Blaizin, Mother Nature, DJ Celeste Alexander, AMI, Loona Dae, Tamarie T. & Thee Elektra Kumpany, Furious Styles, Specter, Abstract Mindstate, DJ Ca$h Era, JenniferFauxxpez, Cordell Johnson, Afro Karaoke, Reggae Rize with Lady Sol & Friends, Jesse De la Pena, SOLOSAM, and RTST.
Sunday’s music features Body & Soul NYC, Liv Warfield, Madison McFerrin, Andre Power (Soulection), Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few, DJ Sadie Woods ft Violinist Edith Yokley, Joey Purp, Future Shock!, HXLT, NAPPI HOUR, Vick Lavender, Duane Powell, Stylin’ Out Network Presents Boogie Therapy, Soso + F.A.B.L.E, Ang13, Ramonski Luv & DJ Sam Chatman, Craig Loftis, Scendsei, Bonita Appleblunt, SmallWORLD Collective, David Sabat, Dj Emanuel Pippin, DJ D.R.E.A.M, Shazam Bangles, DJ NewLife and more.

This is an all-ages event. Children under 13 are free with a ticketed adult.
