After some hesitation from Prince Edward Island’s Resort Municipality of Stanley Bridge, Canada’s Sommo Festival is a go for 2023. The two-day festival premieres with headliners Mumford & Sons and Maggie Rogers on July 14-15 in Cavendish Beach, PEI.
A previous vote vetoed the festival, but the committee did a recount, and the event was given the green light.
Also featured on the lineup are Vance Joy, Lord Huron, Tegan and Sara, Charlotte Cardin, grandson, Dead From Above 1979, Allison Russell, Wild Rivers, Joel Plaskett Emergency, JJ Wilde, Yoke Lore, Ruby Waters, Crown Lands, Dear Rouge, and others.
Sommo will also feature a culinary stage, allowing guests to meet celebrity chefs, participate in live food demonstrations, and try the best of local breweries and wineries.
Single-day Friday GA tickets start at $99 + fees, single-day Saturday GA tickets are $109, and weekend GA passes are $179. Weekend VIP tickets are $429 and include access to an indoor/outdoor VIP area with a premium bar, additional culinary offerings, seating, shade, bathrooms, front-of-stage access, and an expedited entry and exit. Camping passes, Sunroof VIP, Sunroof Tables, and more are available here.
Sommo Festival is an all-ages event.
