The Summer Smash is back June 17-19, 2022, at Douglass Park in Chicago. The rap and hip hop fest has been hosted by Cole Bennett and SPKRBX for 4 years.
The fest has caused some concerns for residents in the area, and to mitigate these concerns it has been sponsoring multiple park clean-up events and is hosting a free Juneteenth celebration in the north end of the park. The Summer Smash will shut down the south end of the park for the fest. They also hosted a public meeting in May to address concerns.
Friday’s performers include Lil Uzi Vert, Wiz Khalifa, Trippie Redd, Lil Skies, Rico Nasty, Lucki, and more.
Saturday’s performers include Post Malone, Polo G, Ski Mask the Slump God, Lil Tecca, G Herbo, and more.
