THING NW is back August 26-28, 2022, after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic. 2022 will be the multi-genre music, art, and comedy fest’s second year and will be hosted at Historic Fort Warren in Port Townsend, WA, about 2 hours away from Seattle.
Fort Worden is a former military base (and filming location of An Officer and a Gentleman) that features 434 acres with 12 miles of forested hiking trails, 2 miles of walkable saltwater beaches, and commanding views of the Puget Sound.
The event features 4 stages including 2 outdoor stages, McCurdy Pavilion (former balloon hangar converted into a theatre) and the Wheeler Theatre (intimate art deco venue). The festival was a success and sold out in its inaugural year. Camping is included with ticket purchase.
The lineup includes Jungle, Father John Misty, Modest Mouse, Freddie Gibbs, Sparks, Goose, Duran Jones & The Indications, José González, Yves Tumor, Curtis Harding, Triumph The Insult Comic Dog, Please Don’t Destroy, and more.
