GRiZ’s second curated camping event, Ursa Major, has revealed set times, a festival site map, and workshops for the 2023 event. Ursa Major will be held on September 22-24 at the Pepsi Amphitheater in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The music starts at 4 PM on Friday with Never Dull, Justin Jay, ProbCause & Chrishira Perrier feat. Sunsquabi, Black Carl!, Of The Trees, and GRiZ (playing a bass set).
Saturday kicks off at 3 PM with Zen Selekta, Freddy Todd, SunSquabi, GRiZ (Chasing The Golden Hour), LUZCID, Daily Bread, and Opiuo.
McWavy opens Sunday at 3 PM, followed by Motifv, parkbreezy b2b Thought Process, Flamingosis, Maddy O’Neal, INZO, and GRiZ (playing a throwback/funky set).
The site map shows the main stage location, The Launchpad, and a smaller second stage called the “Little Bear Stage,” where local artists will play daytime music. The Polaris area is home to the merch pop-up, a bar, and food vendors. Camping areas and workshops are housed on either side of Polaris.
The weekend’s morning activations and workshops begin Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 AM with yoga and meditation. No sign-ups are required for the morning workshops.
From 12-4 PM, attendees are invited to “schmooze n’ chill” at the Launchpad, an opportunity to gather and make art with others.
Sign-ups are required for workshops at The Launchpad, and attendees are limited to 1 per person all weekend. If the workshops do not fill up or pre-registered guests drop out, attendees can attend more than one workshop over the weekend.
Guests can choose from a talk with M.A.P.S. about psychedelic transformations, mindfulness (on both Saturday and Sunday), tie-dying an event t-shirt (also on both Saturday and Sunday), a master class on Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Pranayama, expressive art making, a gong journey, a nature walk, and bystander intervention training.
Attendees also have the opportunity to play at the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course, located within the grounds, at discounted rates over the weekend.
Passes to Ursa Major are sold out.
