Time to stock up on dark eyeliner and hair dye–When We Were Young Festival has revealed its wonderfully nostalgic (and updated) lineup for 2022. The festival will be held in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
This will technically be the second year of the fest after it premiered in 2017 in California and featured Morrissey, The Descendents, AFI, Cage the Elephant, Taking Back Sunday, Alkaline Trio, and others.
When the news of this emotionally charged event first broke, the festival was set to be a one-day party on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Tickets went crazy fast and the festival sold out. So the organizers decided to add two additional dates: Sunday, October 23, and Saturday, October 29. The lineup was tweaked ever so slightly with indie rock artist Alex G taking Wolf Alice’s spot and the early departure of emo band La Dispute.
Artists like AFI, The Used, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, Alkaline Trio, Manchester Orchestra, The All-American Rejects, The Story So Far, Avril Lavigne, Boys Like Girls, Bright Eyes, and Jimmy Eat World are all set to perform. And that’s not even half of it. Even 3OH!3 is back!
The fest will feature a rotating stage (maybe multiple rotating stages?) to allow bands to set up while another is performing.
The presale begins Friday, January 21 at 10 AM PST. Sign up here. GA passes will be $224.99, with GA+ and VIP options as well. Hotel packages include nightclub access, brunch, and open bar add-ons.
Health and safety: When We Were Young Festival has not yet shared an official COVID-19 policy.
The festival is an all-ages festival, except for VIP Cabana Packages that are 21+.
