For the first time, SweetWater Brewery will host its annual SweetWater 420 Fest onsite due to…gun laws? The event returns at a much smaller scale to Atlanta on April 22-23, with headliners Shakey Graves and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
Also on the 2023 lineup are Ghostland Observatory, Rome & Duddy, Neal Francis, SunSquabi, Kitchen Dwellers, Doom Flamingo, Neighbor, The Vegabonds, The Stews, Maggie Rose, Fireside Collective, Robert Jon & The Wreck, Consider The Source, Khaliko, Hotel Fiction, Tall Tall Trees, Happy Landing, and Wolf Mask.
Georgia’s Safe Carry Protection Act prevents events like SweetWater 420 Fest from banning guns on public or state-owned land, creating a dilemma for event organizers in the state. Music Midtown, another Atlanta music festival, was canceled entirely in 2022 due to gun protections. SweetWater 420 Fest was held at Centennial Olympic Park in previous years.
Single-day GA tickets are $70 + fees, and 2-day GA tickets are $130. Single-day VIP tickets are $130, and 2-day VIPs are $240. VIP includes three complimentary SweetWater beers, wine, or NA beverages per day, access to the Woodlands (a VIP restroom and bar), a collectible poster, and more. View all ticket options here.
SweetWater 420 Fest is a 21+ event.
